At Greener Partners, we believe in the power of locally grown food to transform community health. In imagining a better food system, Greener Partners operates community Farm Hubs as resources for local produce and for education while taking our truck-based Farm Explorer programs into the greater Philadelphia area.

Farm to School: All of our Farm Explorer staff are educators and farmers, connecting kids to local vegetables, herbs and fruits with their in-depth knowledge of botany, agriculture and the simple pleasures of preparing and eating the freshest food.

Farm to Hospital: Our newest collaboration with Lankenau Medical Center creates a new approach to preventive health care. We’re growing fresh food for patients in need, and we’re educating young people about the joys of healthy eating.

Farm to Community: In Philadelphia at Guild House Farm and in Norristown at Variety Farm, we distribute thousands of pounds of fresh food to those in need. In addition, in collaboration with Common Market, we host a Farm-to-Office workplace wellness program as well as a CSA. With a diverse range of projects throughout the Philadelphia region, we seek to make local food accessible by offering multiple ways of experiencing fresh, local food in our communities. Our Team

Meg MacCurtin, Executive Director

As Greener Partners’ Executive Director, Meg has been vital to guiding our growth from a single school garden project at Girard College to programs in over 100 schools that impact upwards of 10,000 youth annually.

Helen Nadel

A lifelong cook, Helen’s search for fresh food sparked her passion for farms, farmer’s markets and CSAs. Helen has a Masters in Education, coursework towards an MS in Holistic Nutrition and over 20 years of experience in non-profit education programs and food education.

Amy Johnson

With more than 15 years experience in organic agriculture, Amy's passion for farming began in college when she took a food crops class and instantly fell in love with the idea of growing food.

Lisa Liddington

With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and marketing, Lisa Liddington brings her strong skills in fund development and communications to Greener Partners. Email Lisa.

Jennifer Malkoun

Jennifer first joined Greener Partners at Hillside Farm near Media. She’s reconnecting with us as the lead farmer and educator at Lankenau Medical Center’s groundbreaking Wellness Farm, where she grows organic food for distribution to patients and educates students, patients and medical professionals about growing and eating fresh, healthy food. Jonathan Hamm

Since his time in the Peace Corps, Jon has led workshops on plants, herbs, soils, nutrition, and farm ecosystems. He helped to launch the Farm Explorer’s mobile program in 2013 and seeks to engage students in all stages of the food cycle. Jon likes to create dynamic learning environments and

Jenny Dunker

Jenny‘s 6 years of organic farming developed her passion for sharing healthy and delicious food with students and their communities. She loves fanning sparks of excitement around growing and eating great food. Email Jenny.

Caitlin Brady

Caitlin teaches Farm Explorer programming and also manages our Norristown food access program, distributing food to families in need at local schools. Email Caitlin.

Ilana Grubin

Ilana works alongside Jen Malkoun at the Wellness Farm at Lankenau Medical Center. Ilana comes to us with a strong background in education, including a Masters Degree in elementary education. Email Ilana.

Anaia Daigle

Anaia has been growing veggies her entire life. She loves that urban agriculture is both healing and empowering. In partnership with Philadelphia youth, she hopes to share her excitement through cooperative learning methods and delicious, healthy, sustainably-sourced food. Email Anaia.
