History

Greener Partners was founded in 2008 to connect communities in Philadelphia to healthy food, vibrant farms, and fun, hands-on educational experiences.

A group of parents started the non-profit with a half-acre garden and a handful of volunteers, and engaged 200 children in garden-based learning that first year. Ten years later, Greener Partners has grown exponentially, with food education, food access, and food sovereignty programs, partnering with schools, communities, and health care institutions and impacting over 100,000 people in the Philadelphia region.
