Following an extensive search in summer and fall, 2024, Greener Partners has named Whitney Lingle to be its new Executive Director starting November 18, 2024. “I am thrilled to welcome Whitney as the next leader of Greener Partners,” said Damian Petrone, chair of the Greener Partners board of directors. “The depth of her experience and her passion for the work made her the perfect candidate for this position.”
Whitney comes to Greener Partners after more than six years in Executive Director roles at CARIE and Montco SAAC. In her time at both non-profits, she developed and executed critical strategic plans, drove increasingly successful fundraising efforts, developed new programming to further her organizations’ missions, and oversaw services that measurably improved the health of community members.
With over twenty years of experience, Whitney has been focused on mission-driven endeavors throughout her career. Food access, education, and equity has been a common thread in much of the work she has done, and it is a lifelong personal passion of hers. In addition to her professional experience, Whitney was a board member of the Weavers Way Co-Op and acted as chair of their Food Justice committee. She has an M.A. in cultural anthropology and a B.S. in hospitality and food management from Ball State University.
Whitney expressed her enthusiasm for the new role; “I’m thrilled to be joining the Greener Partners team and bringing fresh food access to all”.
Whitney will assume her position with Greener Partners in November, 2024 when Meg MacCurtin steps down as Executive Director after ten years in that role and fifteen in total with the organization.
“Thanks to Meg’s dedication, vision, and passion, Greener Partners is well-positioned to successfully grow under Whitney’s leadership into an exciting next phase,” said board chair Petrone. “We’d also like to express our deep gratitude to Dunleavy & Associates, under the leadership of Ron Gifford and Patty Cook, who helped lead the search process that resulted in an incredible group of candidates,” said Jessica Salt, vice-chair of the GP board of directors, who oversaw the board’s Executive Director search committee. “It was extremely moving to meet so many amazing folks during that process who wanted to support the Greener Partner’s vision and mission.”
